A salesman lost his life and two others got injured after a group of men opened fire at a store in a shopping mall in Gujranwala on Monday, ARY News reported.

The incident took place in a shopping mall in Gujranwala after a verbal fight between a customer and a salesman. Later, the accused along with his friends attacked the shopping mall’s store, leaving a salesman dead and two others wounded.

Police said that the group of men also shattered the glasses of the shopping mall and fled from the scene. Police said an investigation was started to ascertain the facts.

Earlier in the month, a police constable sustained injuries after the accused opened at the raiding party in Faisalabad.

The firing incident had taken place in Chak-139 in Punjab’s Faisalabad city. Police said that the accused involved in opening fire at the police party were arrested. The arrested men were identified as Rizwan and his brother Ghulam Fareed.

The injured constable Sabir Hussain was shifted to Allied Hospital for medical assistance. Police said that a scuffle broke out between an accused in an attempted murder case and the complainant when the police party raided the residence.

Constable Hussain received a bullet while trying to stop the accused from opening the fire.

BANNU: In yet another incident of sexual assault, a four-year-old boy was allegedly raped and later killed in the Bannu District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, ARY News reported on Sunday. According to police, the incident took place at Jaman Road in Bannu city where a four-year-old boy was raped and killed by her maternal uncle. Pakistan agrees to IMFs demands for revival of loan programme

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has hinted at addressing the concerns put forward by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in the federal budget for FY2023-24, ARY News reported, citing sources.  Pakistan’s efforts are underway to restore the stalled loan programme with the IMF and the breakthrough is likely within two days.  According to sources, Pakistan has decided to address the IMF’s concerns in the budget. Sources claimed that Pakistan has started changes upon the demands of the IMF and changes are being made in the budget speech. Pakistan has once again provided working to the IMF on $6 billion in external financing. Sources say the IMF’s demand for collecting more than Rs215 billion from the people has been accepted by the federal government.
