Imran Khan thanks people of Lahore for not letting him down

IMRAN KHAN Minar-e-Pakistan rally thanks

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan has thanked Lahorites for making Minar-e-Pakistan rally a success, reported ARY News.

In his tweet, Imran Khan wrote: “Despite cabal of crooks locking down Lahore (see map) & arresting 2000 of our workers, people of Lahore came in huge numbers to make our 6th Minar-i-Pakistan jalsa a great success. I want to especially thank my Lahorites for not letting me down yet again. Proud of you.”

A large number of party supporters attended the PTI rally despite the Punjab government’s sealed roads leading to Minar-e-Pakistan by placing containers and erecting barricades to stop them from reaching the place.

On Saturday night, Imran Khan gave an ‘economic roadmap’ for the country’s prosperity in his address at a ‘historic’ jalsa at Lahore’s Minar-e-Pakistan.

ISLAMABAD: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has summoned former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan at 12:00 pm in a terrorism case registered against him for allegedly threatening a female judge, ARY News reported on Tuesday. Additional session Judge Raja Hassan Jawad heard the former premier’s interim bail petition in a terrorism case registered against him for allegedly threatening a female judge in a PTI rally held on August 20. Meanwhile, four more provisions – Sections 506, 504, 186 and 188 – have been included in the case registered against Imran Khan.
