Twitter blocks Pakistani govt’s account in India

SAN FRANCISCO: The microblogging website, Twitter on Friday has blocked the Pakistani government’s official account in India.

According to details, the social networking site Twitter blocked the Pakistani government’s official Twitter account @GovtofPakistan for the third time in India.

Twitter said in a notice that the official account of the Pakistani government has been blocked in India ، The company’s guidelines force it to withhold accounts in response to authoritative legal demand۔

The notice said that the account of the Government of Pakistan is active in other countries including the United States and Canada۔

Pakistan’s IT ministry has not made any comments on the issue yet, nor contacted the Twitter۔

Earlier, in July and October last year, the Pakistan government’s Twitter account was blocked۔

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan has fulfilled the wish of a differently-abled young boy who stayed at Bani Gala camp for protecting him and waiting to meet him personally. Imran Khan met the differently-abled boy namely Ibrahim at his Bani Gala residence after who stayed with PTI workers for 15 days at a camp established to protect him. LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif said that ‘I always wanted to make Pakistan economic power’, ARY News reported. Addressing a public gathering in Lahore from London the former prime minister congratulated the nation on 25th Youm-e-Takbeer Day. Nawaz Sharif said that he was offered billions of dollars and threats to stop carrying out the nuclear test, but he made Pakistan a nuclear power which is a symbol of defence and dignity of the country.
